SYMM (SYnchronized MultiMedia) allows sound and images to work at the same
time ("in synch".) You can synchronize by using either SMIL (Synchronized Multimedia
Integration Language) or SYMM creation software.
Tim Kennedy is still our SMIL (rhymes with smile) Expert, and still in charge of
JustSMIL.
We just re-organized his great articles and gave them a bit of a new look.
Our SYMM area covers all of the other (non-SMIL) ways to synchronize and experience
streaming multimedia. Proprietary products like QuickTime, RealPlayer G2, Windows
Media Technologies and more are explored.
Check out both JustSMIL and
SYMM and see which solution is best for you.
