Eyeball To Eyeball (3)

Using the Contact List
To open the Contact List (the address book), click the contact list button on the Control Console. To add a person to your list click the add button. A small dialogue box will open. Enter the Eyeball ID of the new contact you wish to add to your list. Click OK. Eyeball Chat will search its database of registered users and add the requested contact to your Contact List.

An Invalid ID message pops up when the requested contact does not have an Eyeball Chat account. You can click the Invite a Friend link located in the menu on your right hand side and the company will send them an e-mail on your behalf to invite them to join Eyeball Chat.

Searching For Other Eyeball Chat Users
From within the program you can click the Find a Friend button located on the Contact List. This will open Find a Friend within your default browser where you can search for other Eyeball Chat users. You can still access Find a Friend from within the Web site by clicking on the Search button wherever found, but you must be logged in first. At Find a Friend you can search by either name or e-mail address. This function is only available to Eyeball Chat users. After retrieving the Eyeball ID, you enter it in the Contact List.

Finding New People To Chat With
The Eyeball Chat Groups is a great starting place for meeting other users. Here you can choose to make yourself available within any of the following 12 default categories:

  • Business
  • Computers
  • Education
  • Entertainment
  • Family
  • Health
  • Music
  • Pets
  • Politics
  • Dating & Romance
  • Sports
  • Teens

The country location of each user is also displayed. If you see someone who you would like to chat with, you need to add them to your Contact List in order to request a chat.
