Adjusting Video Quality
Click the Personal Quality Profile (PQP) button on the control console to open up your PQP. Here, you can specify how you wish to receive video by frame rate, picture quality, and audio performance. Eyeball Chat will automatically adjust the video quality that you recieve by continually monitoring both your network bandwidth and your PQP settings. You can see how the settings on the Personal Quality Profile graph on the left continually adjust to match your preferences.

If receiving a higher frame rate is more important to you (recommended if you expect high motion video) compared to picture size and level of picture details, select High Frame Rate under the My PQP menu, then click Apply. Selecting High Frame Rate means that you prefer to receive faster, smoother video over higher resolution and sharper picture.

If receiving a picture with a high level of detail is more important to you (recommended if you expect low motion video) compared to picture size and frame rate, select High Picture Quality, then click Apply. Selecting High Picture Quality means that you prefer to receive higher resolution and quality of picture over faster, smoother video.

If frame rate (speed and smoothness) and picture quality (level of detail and sharpness) are equally important to you, select Standard, then click Apply. This is recommended if you are not sure which one to select or if you are to receive a balanced combination of high and low motion (i.e. talking heads).

If you wish to create your own profile (recommended for advanced users), select Customize PQP, then click on the Customize button. You can adjust the priorities between frame rate, picture quality, and audio quality.

The Receiver Priority lets you prioritize the use of your bandwidth between receiving and sending video. If you prefer to use more of your bandwidth for receiving video, set the Receiver Priority bar high. If you prefer to use more of your bandwidth for sending video, set the Receiver Priority bar low. The default is set at an equal balance between receiving and sending video.

To receive video at a constant frame rate you can disable the automatic, dynamic adaptation of video quality (recommended for advanced users). Select Disable Adaptation and click Advanced. You can now adjust both the Receiver and the Sender's video quality attributes by picture size, frame rate, and picture quality.
